Aromatherapy ~ is perhaps the most delightful of all therapies. We only
have to smell bread
baking, a rose or the ocean on the breeze and we are immediately
transported to lovely feelings and memories. Different scents
create different feelings and assist the body, mind and spirit
in balancing itself whether it needs relaxation, invigoration
or stimulation of certain areas to help in healing ourselves.
For example, rosewood is uplifting, mimosa is soothing, chamomile
is calming and ginger is stimulating. When I
smell bread baking it evokes a sense
of peace, home and safety. Our olfactory sense is so
powerful that one whiff of a smell immediately brings memories
good or bad into our mind and can change our feelings in an
instant. I use essential oils on the body and in the room
to aid in restoring you
to a better sense of self and health.
